Associate Consultant: Vanessa Hamilton

Vanessa is an experienced organisational development consultant specialising in leadership and management development, customer experience and employee engagement. Her particular expertise is helping organisations to create a differentiated service and/or sales experiences for their customers through the actions and behaviours of their people.

Vanessa works closely with clients to create relevant, engaging and sustainable learning events which develop the effectiveness of individuals and teams to achieve business results, specifically in the areas of:
Research: Vanessa designs and facilitates focus groups, discussion panels and executive interviews to gain in-depth understanding of the requirements and expectations of clients and staff alike. She assesses – both quantitatively and qualitatively – how effectively clients currently perform against those expectations, highlighting the most significant gaps and opportunity areas.

Design and Development: Vanessa creates learning solutions, often blended, which combine e-learning, workshop-based skills practice, on the job assignments/challenges and small group action/project-based learning. She also works with managers and team leaders on their roles in creating ‘climates’ for learning, workplace applications and long-term behaviour change. Vanessa ensures links with previous training, ongoing business initiatives and strategic priorities. Vanessa has extensive experience creating “learning cascades” – where the learning is passed from facilitators/champions to team leaders/managers down to front-line staff.

Consultancy: Vanessa helps clients with developing or improving their organisational systems to support effective behaviour change (e.g. communication, measurement, reward and recognition, performance management, recruitment etc.).

Prior to setting up her practice, Vanessa worked as a senior consultant for Forum Corporation for 7 years, and previously for KPMG Consultancy for 3 years. Based in South-West London, Vanessa lives with her husband and young daughter and enjoys cooking, art history and writing children’s stories.
